History
Zambon Vulcano is based in Roncà, in eastern Verona, among some of the most fascinating volcanic hills of the Veneto region. Led by Federico Zambon, the winery is dedicated to expressing the unique geology of the area through sustainable viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking. The vineyards are planted on the slopes of the ancient Duello, Calvarina and Crocetta volcanoes, whose basalt-rich soils define the character of the wines.
Grape variety
Garganega 100%.
Vinification
The grapes come from vineyards located between Monte Duello and Monte Calvarina at approximately 250-300 metres above sea level. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts to preserve fruit purity and fully express the volcanic terroir. The winemaking philosophy focuses on freshness, precision and authenticity.
Alcohol content
12%.
Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow in colour. The bouquet offers white flowers, citrus fruits and white peach aromas, complemented by flinty mineral notes and subtle marine nuances. On the palate it is fresh, precise and savoury, with vibrant acidity, strong mineral tension and a long dry finish that clearly reflects its volcanic origin.
Food pairings
Excellent as an aperitif and with raw seafood, shellfish, tuna tartare, light pasta dishes, grilled fish and Mediterranean cuisine. Its pronounced minerality also makes it a superb match for oysters and seafood dishes.
