History
Umani Ronchi is one of Central Italy’s leading wineries and has long been committed to preserving and promoting the native grape varieties of the Marche region. Vigor belongs to the winery’s “Native” collection, dedicated to the historic grapes of the Adriatic ridge. The vineyards are located between 150 and 300 metres above sea level, where the influence of the Adriatic Sea and cool hillside conditions create ideal growing conditions.
Grape variety
Passerina 100%.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested from late August to late September. After gentle pressing, the juice is rapidly cooled and clarified by static settling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 14°C and 16°C for approximately 8–10 days. No malolactic fermentation is carried out, and every stage of production is performed under oxygen-free conditions to preserve the grape’s primary aromas. The wine then ages for about five months in stainless steel before bottling.
Alcohol content
12%.
