History
The Giuseppe Cortese winery is a historic family estate located in the heart of Barbaresco, within the prestigious Rabajà cru, considered one of the most renowned hills of the entire appellation. For generations the family has worked with great respect for Nebbiolo, crafting wines that faithfully express the character of the cru. The 2022 vintage delivered balanced, sun-kissed grapes, resulting in wines of clarity, elegance and fine structure.

Vinification
Traditional fermentation in stainless steel with extended maceration; ageing in large Slavonian oak casks for approximately 20–24 months, followed by bottle refinement. The style remains rooted in classic Barbaresco tradition: elegance, depth and purity.

Tasting notes
Bright garnet colour. Aromas of rose, violet, crunchy cherry, orange peel, licorice and delicate spices. On the palate it is tense, noble, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, harmonious finish. A refined and precise Barbaresco, true to the Cortese signature.
Food pairings
Excellent with roasted red meats, braised dishes, game, tajarin with ragù, porcini mushrooms, aged cheeses and traditional Piedmontese cuisine. Also perfect for a contemplative tasting.
