History
Ginarte was created in Tuscany to celebrate the connection between distillation and the world of art. Its inspiration comes particularly from the Italian Renaissance, when painters and sculptors used pigments obtained from plants and natural substances. This relationship is reflected directly in the gin’s recipe, which includes botanicals such as calamint, safflower, mignonette, madder and woad, historically used in the production of colours. The project also places great importance on the bottle itself, designed as an artistic surface to be reinterpreted through collaborations with contemporary painters, designers and creative talents. Ginarte therefore represents a meeting of Italian distilling tradition, botanical research and artistic expression.
Botanicals
Juniper, calamint, safflower, mignonette, madder, woad, angelica, lavender, hibiscus, elderflower, pine buds, mountain pine and pine needles.
Distillation
Ginarte is produced by processing different botanical components separately to preserve their individual aromatic characteristics. Juniper berries harvested in the Tuscan Apennines are infused in wheat alcohol and subsequently distilled in a vacuum batch still. This technique lowers the boiling temperature, helping preserve the most delicate aromatic compounds. The remaining botanicals are divided into two groups, infused separately and distilled in a small traditional batch still. The three distillates are then blended and allowed to rest before dilution with pure water. A final low-temperature filtration completes the process, resulting in a clear, balanced gin with remarkable aromatic complexity.
Alcohol content
43.5%.
Tasting notes
Crystal clear and bright. The nose reveals an intense and refined bouquet dominated by the distinctive balsamic aromas of juniper, complemented by floral notes of lavender, hibiscus and elderflower. Herbal hints of calamint, delicate spicy nuances and resinous pine aromas gradually emerge. The palate is dry, harmonious and enveloping, with an elegant structure and impressive aromatic intensity. Floral characteristics integrate beautifully with herbal and balsamic sensations, leading to a long, fresh and persistent finish with lingering notes of juniper, aromatic herbs and pine resin.
Food pairings
Ginarte is particularly well suited to an elegant and aromatic Gin & Tonic, preferably prepared with a neutral tonic water that allows the botanicals to express themselves fully. It can be garnished with lemon peel, a sprig of rosemary or a few juniper berries. It is also excellent in classic cocktails such as the Dry Martini, Negroni and Gin Fizz. As an aperitif, it pairs pleasantly with olives, salted almonds, crostini, fresh cheeses and small smoked seafood appetisers.
