History
Castellaccio is located in Lucolena, within the municipality of Greve in Chianti, where vineyards lie between 400 and 700 metres above sea level. The combination of quartz-rich soils, mountain exposure and constant ventilation creates ideal conditions for producing vibrant and aromatic Sangiovese wines. Since 2014 the estate has embraced organic farming, aiming to preserve the authenticity of its unique terroir.

Tasting notes
Bright ruby red. Aromas of crunchy cherry, red currant and wild berries are complemented by a signature balsamic mint note typical of the Lucolena area. On the palate it is vibrant, energetic and saline, with fine tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral finish.
Food pairings
Excellent with Tuscan cured meats, wild boar pasta, ragù dishes, Florentine steak, roasted meats, grilled dishes and aged cheeses. Its freshness also makes it particularly versatile with traditional Tuscan cuisine.
