History
Umani Ronchi is one of Central Italy’s leading wineries, with estates in both Marche and Abruzzo. The Montipagano range comes from the organic estate near Roseto degli Abruzzi, where vineyards benefit from clay-loam soils, Adriatic sea breezes and the cooling influence of the Gran Sasso mountains. These unique conditions produce wines with remarkable freshness, minerality and aromatic purity.
Grape variety
Trebbiano 100%.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested from mid to late September. After gentle pressing, the free-run juice undergoes cold static settling before fermenting in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 14 and 16 °C for approximately 8–10 days. The wine then ages for around three months in stainless steel prior to bottling.
Alcohol content
12.5%.
Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow with pale green reflections. The bouquet reveals delicate floral aromas alongside notes of white peach and citrus fruits. On the palate it is fresh, balanced and dry, with lively minerality and a long, clean finish.
Food pairings
Excellent with seafood starters, clam pasta, seafood risotto, grilled fish, shellfish stews and light fried seafood. It also pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine.
