History
Fattorie del Cerro is a historic Tuscan winery located in the Montepulciano area, a prime region for Sangiovese-based wines. “Silineo” is a Nobile di Montepulciano selection designed to balance fruit, structure and expressive terroir character, benefiting from carefully paced ageing. The 2022 vintage upholds this approach with maturity, balance and depth.

Vinification
Hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel with extended maceration for colour and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in oak casks of various sizes for an extended period, followed by additional bottle ageing to harmonise components and aromatics.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby red with garnet highlights. On the nose: ripe red fruits, plum, sweet spices, subtle balsamic notes and floral hints. On the palate: full and enveloping, with well-structured yet silky tannins, balanced acidity and a long, elegant and savoury finish.
Food pairings
Excellent with roasted red meats, braised dishes, game, pappardelle with ragù, porcini mushrooms, aged cheeses and classic Tuscan cuisine. Also ideal for slow, contemplative tastings or paired with high-quality dark chocolate.
