History
The grapes used to produce this wine come from the producer Guido Baldissero in Treiso, Cuneo. Marco Baldissero is currently the manager of the family business and before the project of this wine the company has always sold the grapes to other important local producers. Thanks to the friendship with Marcello Brunetti and the common passion for Syrah, it was decided to collaborate to experiment with new approaches to winemaking.
Marco’s Langhe Rosso, made with Syrah, is a modern wine and highly regarded in the area for its distinctive taste and contemporary approach. On the other hand, Marcello’s wine represents the union of his passion for traditional wines, the Langa area and his love for this vine.

Production method
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed with the feet, keeping the bunch whole with the stalk. Fermentation takes place without pumping over and the wine is racked off without pumps, using only gravity. Subsequently, it is refined in exhausted barriques without any other intervention or addition of oenological products, sulphites, filtration or clarification. Finally, the bottling takes place with the gravity method.

Tasting notes
Appears to the eye bright purplish red. The nose enters with notes of blackberry and plum and other berries, accompanied by vegetable notes of olives and spices such as cloves and pepper. On the palate it is soft and intense, enveloping, with sweet and smooth tannins. It is a wine of great persistence and structure.
Possible combinations
It goes well with first and second courses based on meat, or dishes with cheeses with a fatty component.
